Abstract

The effects of SrTiO3 on the sintering behaviors, phase structures, microstructures and the microwave dielectric properties of CaO–B2O3–SiO2 (CBS) glasses/Al2O3 ceramics were investigated in this study. The results show that the SrTiO3 additions can be well sintered with CBS glasses/Al2O3 ceramics at low temperature, and increase the density and the dielectric constant of the CBS glasses/Al2O3 ceramics. Especially, the temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency τf could be adjusted to zero with SrTiO3 added. And the sample with 15 wt% SrTiO3 sintered at 850 °C exhibited promising properties of: er = 10.13, tanδ = 0.00323, τf = −5.35, and σ ≥ 200 MPa.
