Effect of some plant extract and an insecticide on the incidence ofEarias vittellain okra

Abstract

The experiment was conducted during kharif of 2007 and 2008 to know the infestation of shoot and fruit borer, Earias vittella (Fab.) on okra c.v. Kashi Pragati (VRO - 6). The minimum shoot damage on imidacloprid (5.0 %) treated plot followed by neem leaf extract (25.5 %), marigold leaf extract (28.5 %) with highest damage on castor leaf extract treated (34.3) while minimum fruit damage on imidacloprid (4.9 %) treated plot followed by neem leaf extract (25.1 %), marigold leaf extract (31.3 %) with highest damage on castor leaf extract treated plot (36.4 %).
