Abstract
The activation of lipid peroxidation in ophthalmoherpes may be determined by the reduction in glutathione peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activity. The activity was less depressed in the contralateral eye. Administration of sodium selenite stimulated glutathione peroxidase activity and normalized superoxide dismutase activity.
