Abstract

Abstract The cutouts usually observed inside the aircraft and ship constructions toward facilitating water tubes, oil pipelines, electrical ducts, doorways, portholes and sometimes inspection objectives. These cutouts severely alter the vibration and buckling properties of the structural components. The panels examined under the work of uniaxial and bi-axial loading configurations. Furthermore, the consequences of different boundary conditions and cutout ratios are approached in this work. A 9-noded heterosis plate element utilized, involving the influence of shear deformation and rotary inertia. According to the outcomes, the size of cutout, ply-orientation and loading type seriously affects the vibration and buckling characteristics of laminated panels.
