Abstract
Effect of shear stress on the endothelial cell has been studied by many workers, but few studies on the effect of shear stress for other cell lines have been reported. We have investigated the effect of shear stress on the rCHO using flat-bed type reactor with non-woven fabric mat and found that therenin productivity was enhanced and the cells attached to the non-woven fabric were aggregated by increasing shear stress. It is therefore considered that shear stress or cell aggregation may affect productivity(1).
