Abstract
The influence of several variables on the relation between COD and J is experimentally studied. These variables are temperature, geometry, strain-hardening exponent, slow stable crack growth, toughness value for each material and rolling direction. Four steels and a compacted cast iron were tested. From the experimental results, this relationship would be a function of the strainhardening exponent and rolling direction.
