Abstract

Objective To investigate the correlation between serum leptin and cholecystokinin (CCK) levels and gallbladder contraction function, and the important role of gallbladder motility in gallstone formation. Methods 120 cases of gallstone patients and 60 normal controls (180 cases) were subjected to gallbladder contraction function experiment.Gallbladder contraction rate was tested, and two groups were set up:normal gallbladder contraction function group and abnormal gallbladder contraction function group.Radioimmunoassay was used to measure the peripheral serum leptin and CCK levels, and the differences in the occurrence of gallstone, serum leptin and CCK levels in the two group were analyzed. Results The levels of serum leptin and CCK in abnormal gallbladder contraction function group [(12.26 ±2.06) μg/L and (3.85 ± 1.39) nmol/L] were significantly higher than in normal gallbladder contraction function group [(5.22 ± 1.51) μg/L and (2.16 ±0.62) nmol/L] with the difference being statistically significant (P < 0.05).The ratio of patients with gallbladder gallstone in abnormal gallbaldder contraction function of patients with abnormal gallbladder contraction function group (89.81%) was significantly higher than that in normal gallbladder contraction function group (31.94%,P < 0.05).Conclusion (1) The increased serum leptin and CCK are important factors leading to the decreased gallbladder contraction function.(2) The decreased gallbladder motility plays an important role in the formation of gallbladder stones.
