Abstract

Objective To explore the effect and the interaction model of self-esteem and coping style on mental health of undergraduates.Methods 577 undergraduates were surveyed by SCL-90,CSQ and SES.Results A 17.3%variance of mental health could be explained by self-esteem,unmature and mature coping style,while,unmature,mature coping style demonstrate respectively 16.2%,24.7%indirect effect of total effect through self-esteem on mental health.Conclusion Advancing copying competence and self-acceptance is a way to keep mental health of undergraduates while facing frustration and difficulties.
