Abstract

In ungerminated seeds of Lupinus luteus tRNAs are aminoacylated 10% or less depending on species of tRNA. The levels of tRNA aminoacylation for specific tRNAs increase steadily during seed germination. Specific tRNAs in cotyledons and axes of 3-day-old seedlings are aminoacylated to a similar extent. No significant changes are observed in the tRNA population during germination.
