Abstract

In order to study the influence and characteristics of seamount on low frequency acoustic propagation in shallow sea, using the Finite Element Method (FEM) to set up a full-waveguide low-frequency acoustic propagation simulation model in shallow sea, and discussing the influence laws of different seamount on acoustic propagation. The simulation results show that the propagation law of sound energy flow is obviously different from before and after the seamount. with other conditions unchanged, with the decrease of slope angle, the loss of sound energy is less in front of the seamount, and the diffusion of sound energy is slower and tends to be gentle after crossing the summit. With the decrease of the height, the less sound energy is lost in front of the seamount. As the volume of the seamount shrinks, the hindrance effect of the seamount on sound energy propagation is weakened.
