Abstract
SummaryThe rate of protein absorption by normal mice has been measured using radioiodinated human serum albumin as a trace protein. No change in this rate could be shown after whole body X-irradiation of the mice although a change in tone and motility of the gastrointestinal tract was noted. So absorption of unhydrolyzed protein could be demonstrated.
