Abstract
1. Residual acidity of pigments has been demonstrated to have an effect on the thermal-oxidative stability of silicone fluids. 2. It has been found feasible to treat pigment having acidic reaction, using aqueous NaHCO3 solution in the treatment, so as to neutralize the pigments and increase the thermal-oxidative stability of formulations containing a pigment and a polysiloxane fluid.
