Abstract

ABSTRACT In present work the effect of reinforcing choline acetate in PVC-PVP-50%PPy on structural, morphological, mechanical, thermal, electrical and low-frequency dielectric properties of base matrix is studied. Synergistic changes in structural, morphological, mechanical, thermal properties and dielectric parameters in low-frequency region of the host matrix are seen. Disk diffusion test for Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis shows that the blend film reinforced with Choline acetate showed their benign nature toward bacteria indicating their potentiality to be used for various scale multifunctional dielectric and electrical applications working in close contact with living matter, green electronics and various health monitoring systems.
