Abstract
AbstractThis paper describes an effect of recovery time of fault current limiter on over current from a micro grid system which is interconnected to a power distribution system. We have assumed that the semi-conductor type fault current limiter is installed between the micro grid system with the synchronous generator and the power distribution system, measured the over current after a voltage sag occurrence in the power distribution system and a recovery of fault current limiter by experiments in our laboratory. Finally, it was found that the introduction of recovery time for fault current limiter after voltage sag is useful for suppressing the over current from the distributed generator.
