Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of rapid rehabilitation multidisciplinary team nursing mode for patients after radical resection of gastric cancer. Methods Eighty-six patients with gastric cancer undergoing radical gastrectomy at our hospital from August, 2014 to September, 2016 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, 43 for each group. The control group was routinely cared and the observation group applied rapid rehabilitation surgical multidisciplinary team nursing mode during perioperative period. The scores of rehabilitation, anxiety, and depression and the satisfaction of nursing quality were compared between the two groups. Results After the nursing care, the anal exhaustion time, gastric tube indwelling time, time to eat food first time, first ambulation time, and postoperative hospitalization time were shorter in the observation group than in the control group, with statistical differences (all P < 0.05). After the nursing care, the scores of SDS and SAS were (40.73±3.18)% and (41.66±3.52)in the observation group and were (53.15±5.02) and (55.72±5.66) in the control group, with statistical differences (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction was 93.02% in the observation group and 72.09% in the control group, with a statistical difference (P < 0.05). Conclusions Applying rapid rehabilitation surgical multidisciplinary team nursing mode in the radical operation of gastric cancer is significantly effective and can promote the patients’ rehabilitation prognosis and relieve the patient's bad mood, so it is worth being generalized. Key words: Radical gastrectomy; Rapid rehabilitation surgery; Multidisciplinary cooperation; Rehabilitation prognosis; Negative mood
