Abstract

Wireless Adhoc and Sensor Networks (WASN) are examples of resource constrained networks. Energy is one of the most useful and scarce resources. Numerous works have been done in order to make these networks live with this constraint. Mobility at times can again considerably affect the energy expense behavior of a WASN. Other than energy, data security in this kind of a network is again another challenge to deal with. In this paper we have studied the effect of mobility on energy consumption and delay in packet delivery, in a Fermat point based energy efficient routing protocol, designed for WASNs.
