Abstract

A series of bimetallic Au-Pt catalysts were obtained by using MgAl-layered double hydroxides (LDH) as support precursors. Their properties were studied in comparison with monometallic analogs. The effect of the nature of the interlayer anion in LDH composition (CO32−, OH-), Mg/Al ratio in support, platinum and gold content as well as their ratio, on catalytic activity in propane dehydrogenation were studied. The properties of the samples with anchored metal complexes were researched by DRES and XRD. The size of the anchored metal particles was estimated by TEM and CO chemisorption methods.
