Abstract
The effect of intracarotid injection of prostaglandin E1 on the cerebral haemodynamics in subarachnoid bleeding has been studied in 6 patients. The dose rate ranged from 0.000002 μg/kg/min–0.03 μg/kg/min. Arterial diameter, cerebral blood flow and circulation times were measured and blood pressure, respiration and electrocardiographic changes were monitored.
