Abstract

To investigate the effect of laser power, scan speed, and powder feeding rate on the geometry of YCF104 clad track, the single factor experiment with 125 groups were designed to study the influence of process parameters on the cross-sectional area, width and depth of clad track, and width and depth of heat-affected zone (HAZ). The results show that power has a positive effect on the clad track cross-sectional area, while the scan speed is the opposite. The power has a positive effect on the width of the clad track and HAZ, and height of the HAZ, and the scan speed has a positive effect on the width of the HAZ. To further study the influence of various factors on target value, variance analysis was used to study the significance of the factors. In addition, the interaction between various factors was also studied. Results show that the scan speed has the most significant effect on the height of clad track, while the laser power has a significant effect on width and depth of the HAZ. Owing to the interaction between parameters, the effect of laser power on the depth of HAZ is weakened.
