Abstract

The catalytic performance considering methane dimerization, thermal behaviour and basicity of CsX catalysts prepared by different methods have been studied. Conventional ion exchange, solid phase ion exchange and impregnation are utilized as methods for preparation of the CsX zeolite catalysts investigated. Different relationships between the catalytic, thermal and basic properties depending on the mode of preparation have been found. Both impregnated and solid phase ion exchanged samples create suitable basicity for higher C 2-selectivity and C 2-yield of these samples, as compared to the ion exchanged.
