Abstract

In the preparation of hydrocellulose fibres and yarns without using carbon disulfide, special attention is being paid to such direct solvents as tertiary amine oxides [I, 2]. In the present article we examine the features of spinning fibres and yarns from solutions of cellulose in m~thylmorpholine oxide (MMO) into MMO-water mixtures and the possibility of regulating their physico-mechanical properties. The preparation of such solutions and their properties have been described in [3].
