Abstract

An experiment was conducted to study the effect of potassium compounds viz., KNO3 and K2SO4 on fruit physical and yield attributes of Banarasi Karaka ber. The concentrations of potassium compounds used were 1, 1.5 and 2%. The experiment has revealed that highest fruit retention, fruit size, weight, pulp/stone ratio and fruit yield/tree were noticed with application of KNO3 (2%). It was also found that among the potassium compounds, KNO3 (1%) was found to be economically best.
