Abstract

Use of additive material in manufacturing asphalt mixtures has increased recently and, in some cases, it caused an improvement in the stability features of asphalt mixtures. Using waste material in manufacturing asphalt pavements not only prevents wasting national sources but also brings about positive environmental effects. In current research, functional features of hot mix asphalt of Semnan Asphalt Planet which contained w aste recycled glass and polypropylene are analyzed. Meeting the already-mentioned purpose, Marshall stability and flow test, indirect tensile test and dynamic creep test were used to analyze Asphalt Concrete AC mechanical properties. The most significant results show that using 0.2, 0.4, and 0.6 of fibers cause an increase in Marshall stability as 10, 7 and almost 1 percent and using recycled glass caused an improvement in Marshall stability to an amount of 2, 7.5 and 12 percent in comparison with the mix respectively. Besides, upon an increase in the quantity of recycled glass to 6%, the proportion of permanent deformations of asphalt samples decreases.
