Abstract

Abstract ‘Aroclor 1254’ was fed to laying pullets at dietary dose rates of 0, 0.1, 1, 10, and 100 mg/kg. At dose rates of 0.1 and 1 mg/kg there was no alteration in liver enzyme activity compared with the controls. At 10 mg/kg there was"an increase in microsomal protein and cytochrome P450. At 100 mg/kg there was an increase in microsomal protein, cytochrome P450, cytochrome b5, biphenyl 4-hydroxylase, and esterase.
