Abstract

Objective To compared the difference of clinical effect of pinellia processed by different methods in the treatment of elderly patients with isolated systolic hypertension, summary the optimized pinellia processing method. Methods Clinical data of 120 elderly patients with isolated systolic hypertension treated in the outpatient of our hospital from July 2015 to June 2016 was retrospectively analyzed. All patients were treated with Huangqi Xianxiong capsules whose main component was pinellia. Based on different pinellia processing methods, 120 patients were divided into raw pinellia group, rhizoma pinelliae group, prepared pinellia tuber group, 40 cases in each group. The changes of systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and pulse pressure (PP) after treatment among three groups were observed, and evaluated the effect of adjustment on pinellia processing method on blood pressure. Results The improvement degree of SBP, DBP, and PP in raw pinellia group after 8 weeks’ treatment were better than those in rhizoma pinelliae group, prepared pinellia tuber group (P<0.05). The total effective rate in raw pinellia group was 92.5%, significantly higher than those in rhizoma pinelliae group, prepared pinellia tuber group (85.0%, 82.5%) (P<0.05). Conclusion ①Different pinellia processing methods have different effects on blood pressure in elderly patients with isolated systolic hypertension. ②The processing method based on raw pinellia make the reduction of SBP and PP of patients with isolated systolic hypertension to the high-point, which can also make DBP stable, the processing mode has certain research and promotion value.
