Abstract

Electro dermal Activity (EDA) is a significant index of sympathetic Nervous System activity. Existing Electro dermal Activity device price is not affordable for communal. Our project aim is to develop EDA device and it measures spontaneous variation in Skin Conductance at low cost when compared to existing device. The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) has direct role in physical response to stress. The experimental session includes acquiring EDA signal for normal participants and for physically stressed participants. Acquisition Setup consists of sensor and communication module. This Setup is interfaced with personal Computer. Labview software is used to visualize and stores the EDA signal. Collected data is analyzed in statistical domain and frequency domain. We have used custom designed Copper Electrode. Time and frequency domain analysis of EDA signals significantly shows that physical stress affects the EDA signal.
