Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of personalized health education on anti-pain, ADR, the mastery of pain-related knowledge and the improvement of quality of life of severe cancer patients treated by Oxycontin (Oxycodone Hydrochloride Prolonged-release Tablets). Methods A total of 150 cases of moderate and severe cancer patients treated with oxycontin were divided into observation group and control group, 75 cases in each group.The observation group were intervened by the targeted health education.The corresponding individualized health education was formulated and carried out according to the grade of pain, knowledge of pain and the assessment of quality of life.The control group was treated with routine health education, that is to carry out the propaganda and education during the treatment process.The degree of pain relief, adverse drug reactions, pain knowledge and quality of life of patients of the two groups was evaluated. Results The scores of level of pain relief, pain knowledge, quality of life of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), while the adverse drug reactions were significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion To implement the individualized health education intervention on patients with moderate and severe cancer can effectively improve the Oxycontin analgesic, reduce drug adverse reaction, so as to improve the quality of life of patients.
