Effect of optison microbubbles- mediated B-mode ultrasound- guided focused low- level confocal dual pulse electrohydraulic shock wave- assisted streptokinase thrombolysis on embolic carotid artery

Abstract

Background and Aims: In this study, we developed an experimental focused low- level confocal dual pulse electrohydraulic shock wave thrombolytic therapy system, and investigated its effectiveness on common carotid artery recanalization, accompanied by intravenous streptokinase and Optison microbubbles administration, wherein diagnostic ultrasound imaging system is combined with the therapy system, with a goal of increased safety.
