Abstract

This letter deals with the effect of downsampling in uncertainty quantification of stochastic input injections or fluctuations in the power system in the form of random load injections. The significance of carrying out such an analysis at proper time scales has been emphasized. It is observed that a downsampling mechanism becomes essential in order to study the impact of uncertainties on the overall dynamics of the system without being contaminated by the power system dynamics.
