Abstract

OSCE can be used as an effective teaching tool besides being an assessment tool. 2. The feedback showed that OSCE does help student become aware of components of clinical skills and identifying area of their weakness. 3. The interview and Focus Group Discussion conducted on interns, who were exposed to both the pattern, revealed that skills in history taking, examination, communication with parents and interpretation of clinical problems have improved by OSCE but critical thinking and analytical skills will be better improved by combining OSCE with conventional case based exams. CHART or PICTURE 1. To assess whether OSCE increase student’s awareness of components of clinical skills. 2. To assess that whether OSCE arouse interest and motivate students to learn the clinical skills. 3. To find out whether OSCE improves performance, increase confidence and provide opportunity for self assessment. 4.
