Abstract

$C_{5}F_{10}O$ has received attention from domestic and foreign researchers due to its excellent insulation properties and very low global warming potential (GWP). There are few studies on the influence of O 2 on the insulation and decomposition properties of $C_{5}F_{10}O/CO_{2}$ ternary gas mixtures. In this paper, the impact of oxygen on the breakdown and self-recovery properties of the gas mixture was analyzed by the breakdown test of $C_{5}F_{10}O/CO_{2}$ with a high frequency breakdown test platform. Secondly, gas chromate-graphy-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was used to analyze the gas components in the gas chamber before and after the breakdown test, the addition of O2 did not affect the type of decomposition products, but with the addition of oxygen, the concentration of decomposition products increased in different degrees, among which the small molecule fluoride, such as $CF_{4},C_{2}F_{6}$, the most obvious increase in concentration, indicating that the addition of O2 will promote the decom-position of $C_{5}F_{10}O/CO_{2}$, should be increased in the decom-position of $C_{5}F_{10}O/CO_{2}$. The oxygen content in $C_{5}F_{10}O/CO_{2}/-O_{2}$ is properly controlled while the insulation properties of the gas mixture are maintained.
