Abstract

The effect of nuclear binding and Fermi motion on the ratio R A= σ L σ T is estimated using a convolution model appropriate at finite Q 2 values and x≳0.2. The difference in R A compared to the free nucleon ratio R N is predicted to be negligible within experimental error bars. The Q 2 dependence of the EMC effect is also investigated.
