Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of NS398 on the expressions of reversion-inducing-cysteine-rich protein with kazal motifs (RECK) and membrane type 1-matrix metalloproteinase (MT1-MMP) in human H460 lung carcinoma cells. Methods The H460 cell growth inhibition rate was detected by MTT assay.Immunofluorescence assay and Western blot were used to analyse the expressions of RECK and MT1-MMP protein levels in H460 cells. Results NS398 inhibited the proliferation of H460 cells, promoted the expression of RECK protein, reduced the expression of MT1-MMP protein in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusions NS398 may increase the expression of RECK and decrease the expression of MT1-MMP in lung carcinoma cells, which can inhibit the growth of H460 cells.It is probably a key mechanism of NS398 regulating invasion and migration of lung carcinoma cells.
