Abstract

AbstractThe effect of nonmagnetic impurities on the Néel temperature of chromium is investigated, using a Feders‐Martin model with an energy dependent density of states. The effect of the impurities on the Fermi energy is also considered. It is found that, in the case when the topology of the Fermi surface of chromium is changed by the impurities, the dependence of the critical temperature of chromium on the impurity concentration c is nonlinear and TN may increase or decrease with increasing c.
