Abstract
The superconductivity of the quasi-two-dimensional (2D) tight-binding electrons with nearest-(T1) and next-nearest-(T2) neighbor transfer energy on a square lattice is studied as a model of the superconductivity in Ba(Sr)–La–Cu–O and Y–Ba–Cu–O within the mean field theory. It turns out that the critical temperature Tc and the isotropic energy gap Δ0 increase and then decrease as T2 increases and as a result 2Δ0/kB Tc (kB is Boltzmann's constant) decreases as T2 increases for the definite value of the electron-electron interaction constant.
