Abstract

After an injection of amphetamine (4 mg/kg) and l-dihydroxyphenylalanine (400 mg/kg) a high rate of upward jumping was observed in the treated mice when placed individually in glass jars. Haloperidol, pimozide, chlorpromazine, thioridazine and clozapine antagonized mouse jumping in a dose-dependent manner. Promethazine, imipramine, Librium, Lioresal, nianserin, apomorphine and aminophyllin were inactive.
