Abstract
Nerium oleander L. is a shrub of Apocynaceae. Despite its poisonous effects it has been used to treat several medical conditions. The present study was done for phytochemical screening of various secondary metabolites of oven dried Nerium leaf extracts. The total glycoside content of Nerium leaves were found out. The glycosides (toxin) were extracted from the Nerium leaves and were tested to evaluate its effect on mung seeds.
