Abstract

Abstract Machines are integral part of industrial concerns and establishments. Tools are the backbone of machinery and vary according to the application they are being put used to as well as the end product required. Tool wear, on a comparative scale, is more predominant factor in cutting applications. This may be attributed towards a number of factors such as the high temperature arising at the cutting junction, frictional forces being generated; feed rate etc. Conventional methods utilize various alternatives such as lubricants in the form of grease, oil etc. and specially designed cooling fluids. In spite of their beneficial functions, they tend to provide health hazard due to consequent environmental pollution. By using minimum quantity lubrication system, it saves 50% of coolant which done for machining and also reduce environmental problems. In silicon carbide nano additive gives least metal removal rate compared with copper oxide and titanium oxide.
