Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of N fertilizer on the amount of chlorophyll and quality of tomato fruit (Lycopersicon esculetum), carried out in the Kemantren Village, Tulangan District, Sidoarjo Regency, from July until September 2020. The experiment was arranged in a single factor using a randomized block design. This factor is the dose of N fertilizer with 5 treatments, namely control, 70 kg / ha, 80 kg / ha, 90 kg / ha, 100 kg/ha and repeated 4 times so that 20 experimental units are obtained. The research data will be tested with analysis of variance, and if real or very real results are obtained, it will be followed by the 5% BNJ test. The results showed that the dosage treatment of N fertilizer was not able to provide real results for all observation variables which included total chlorophyll (mg / l), vitamin C content (%), fruit weight (g), fruit volume (ml), fruit hardness (Pa), and the number of fruits per plant.
