Abstract

Objective To discuss the effect of music intervention on postpartum anxiety, blood pressure control time and average length of stay in patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension. Methods 60 PIH patients with postpartum hypertension were divided into the intervention group and the control group according to their order of admission, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional nursing while the intervention group implemented music interventionin addition.Anxiety score, blood pressure control time every day and average length of stay were observed and compared between two groups before and after intervention. Results Score of anxiety was (51.25 ± 12.43) in the intervention group and (52.31 ± 13.24) in the control group before intervention, and the difference was not statistically significant (t =-0.32,P > 0.05).After music intervention, score of anxiety was (38.45 ± 9.28) in the intervention group and (46.62 ±10.94) in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t =-3.12,P < 0.05).The blood pressure control time every day was (3.6 ± 1.5) hours in the intervention group and (6.9 ± 3.8) hours in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t =-4.42,P < 0.05).The average length of stay was(8.4 ± 3.2) days in the intervention group and (14.8 ± 5.5) days in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t =-5.51,P < 0.05).Conclusions Music intervention can not only relieve patient's anxiety, but also shorten the time of blood pressure control and the average length of stay, which is worthy of clinical application.
