Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of motivational interview on quality of life and prognosis of patients with acute recurrent pancreatitis. Methods 86 patients with acute recurrent pancreatitis admitted to our hospital from February 2014 to August 2016 were divided into observation group (43 cases) and control group (43 cases). On the basis of routine nursing, the observation group received motivational interview intervention; the control group received routine nursing. The quality of life, blood lipid, prognosis, recurrence rate, and complications of the two groups were compared. Results After the intervention of motivational interview, the score of SF-36 quality of life scale in the observation group was significantly higher than that before the intervention and that in the control group after the intervention (P<0.05); the levels of total cholesterol and triglyceride in the observation group [(5.39±1.12) mmol/L, (6.79±3.12) mmol/L] were significantly lower than those before the intervention [(8.97±4.73) mmol/L, (13.97±4.73) mmol/L] and those in the control group after the intervention [(7.98±4.13) mmol/L, (10.98±4.13) mmol/L] (P<0.05). The incidence of complications and prognosis recurrence rate in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (4.67% vs.23.26%, 6.98% vs.23.26%) (P<0.05). Conclusion The intervention of motivational interview can improve the quality of life and blood lipid level of acute recurrent pancreatitis, reduce the complications and the recurrence rate of acute pancreatitis, which is helpful to clinical rehabilitation.
