Afield experiment was conducted during Kharif season 2021 and 2022 at Agronomy research farm, Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology Kumarganj, Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh, (India). The experiment was laid out in split plot design with thrice replications taking three moisture regime viz., 6 cm at 1 DADPW (Days after disappearance of ponded water); 6 cm at 4 DADPW (Days after disappearance of ponded water); 6 cm at 7 DADPW (Days after disappearance of ponded water)in main plot, and four weed management practices viz., control; Organic Mulch (Rice Straw @5t ha-1);Herbicide (Bispyribac sodium (10%) @ 200 ml ha-1 post Emergence) and two hand weeding at 25 and 45 DAS in sub plot. Results revealed that significantly higher crop growth rate, relative growth rate, absolute growth rate, net assimilation rate and grain yield was recorded in 6 cm at 4 DADPW (Days after disappearance of ponded water) during both the years of investigation. Among the weed management practices, higher value recorded with sequential two hand weeding at 25 and 45 days after sowing.
