Abstract
Effect of various factors such as mix proportion, water-cement ratio, age and curing conditions on compressive strength, dynamic modulus of elasticity and damping characteristics of plain concrete is given. The results show that relation between compressive strength and dynamic modulus is affected by all the above factors. Another significant observation is that dynamic modulus of air-cured specimens remains unchanged with age though compressive strength increases and damping coefficient decreases.
