Abstract

This communication identifies the fracture mechanism for Ti-6Al-4V alloy during superplastic forming, which is established based on the grain size evolutions. Particularly, the dominant fracture mechanism is identified by misorientation evolutions. In total, the grain-growth-dependent fracture mechanism is proposed, potentially useful for forming limit determination.
