Abstract

Step-milling Step-milling techniques was used to make High-Strength Structural Materials (HSSM) which were made of iron tailings and fly ash as the major raw materials. The impacts of the milling techniques on both the particle sizes of the mixed raw materials and the strength of HSSM were investigated. The optimized flexural strength was as high as 19 MPa for the hardened samples 28 days, and the compressive strength reaches 107 MPa. The total ratio of solid waste utilization in HSSM is up to 83%.
