Abstract

The performed studies of the effect of low-intensity millimeter electromagnetic radiation (EMR) on the content of protein and amino acids in the biomass of Streptomyces canosus CNMN-Ac-02 and Streptomyces massasporeus CNMN-Ac-06 showed that these strains react differently to the impact of the physical factor as dependent on the individual physiological features. The strain S. canosus CNMN-Ac-02 manifested the increasing accumulation of protein and amino acids in the biomass, while S. massasporeus CNMN-Ac-06 demonstrated the inhibition of the synthesis of these substances, which in turn resulted in decreased biomass accumulation. The optimum exposure to low-intensity millimeter EMR promoting an increase in the amount of biomass and protein is 5–10 min.
