Abstract

Objective To study the effects of hsa-miR-146b-5p overexpression on biological characteristics of papillary thyroid carcinoma TPC-1 cells (proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle). Methods Using cell counting kit (CCK)-8 assay and flow cytometry, this experiment through the TPC-1 cell papillary thyroid carcinoma line stably transfected with the overexpression of miR-146b-5p is to test on biological characteristics of TPC-1 cell. Results Transfected with the overexpression of miR-146b-5p, the proliferation rate increased to (134.80±0.56)%, the apoptosis rate significantly decreased to (3.13±0.34)%, reatrained G2-M phase process and a higher cell percentage in S and G2 phase(P<0.05). Conclusion This experiment tells us that the hsa-miR-146b-5p has intimate relationship to papillary thyroid carcinoma. Key words: MicroRNA-146b-5p; Papillary thyroid cancer; Apoptosis
