Abstract

1. New remelting procedures (ESR, VAR, EBR, and PAR) have essentially no effect on grain growth of austenite in steel 00Kh16N15M3B heated to 1250°. 2. The presence of finely dispersed niobium nitrides and carbides is one of the main reasons for the inhibition of intensive austenite grain growth in steel 00Kh16N15M3B.
