Abstract

The roles of applied magnetic field during the current annealing of Co68.15Fe4.35Si12.5B15 soft magnetic amorphous ribbons have been studied. The Joule heating process causes a complex domain structure which is related to the circular field generated by the current. We have shown that magnetic field–current annealing modifies the transverse permeability and under suitable conditions, enhances the GMI response.
