Objective To explore the nursing effect of lumbar spine tuberculosis treated using spinal tuberculosis focal debridement plus bone grafting and internal fixation. Methods Sixty-four patients with lumbar vertebrae tuberculosis in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2012 were treated using spinal tuberculosis focal debridement plus bone grafting and internal fixation under general anesthesia. The diet nursing, antituberculosis therapy nursing, psychological nursing, nursing in perioperation period and rehabilitation nursing were carried out.Improving the situation of spinal nerve compression symptoms and kyphosis angle were observed before and after operation in patients. Results No patients had loosening or breaking of nails after operation. The time of bed rest after operation was 2 ~ 4 weeks, averaging 3 weeks.Four cases had ASIA grade A,9 cases of grade B,14 cases of grade C,29 cases of grade D,8 cases of grade E,and the kyphosis angle was averagely (15.7 ±5.9)° after operation, and 10 cases had ASIA grade A,15 cases of grade B,22 cases of grade C,17 cases of grade D,0 cases of grade E,and the kyphosis angle was averagely (32.8 ± 10.1) ° before operation, and the differences were statistically significant (Z/t =-3.75,11.70,respectively; P < 0.05).Conclusions Spinal tuberculosis focal debridement plus bone grafting and internal fixation can relieve pain caused by nerve compression, provide firm fixation for patients' spinal. The effective nursing measures can make the kyphosis get better correction, reduce the time of bed rest and postoperative hospitalization time, reduce the economic burden of patients, and improve the patient's quality of life.
